With the first pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Saint Louis Rams select Sam Bradford, quarterback from the Oklahoma University.  The Sooner now has a home in the NFL. He is going to one of the teams that were at the cellar of the whole league. Bradford has a good arm and is very efficient with huge upside.  The one thing that can haggle him is his prior injuries in the NCAA.  Will he be exposed after receiving his first NFL collision???  We have until Pre-Season in July-August and when the Regular Season kicks off.

  1. I think it could be a tough season for former heisman winner Sam Bradford if he starts week one, although having a back like Stephen Jackson running the ball will help him. I liked the Rodger Saffold pick in round 2 as he was thought of as one of the top offensive tackles following his great senior bowl week but I always fear for rookie quarterbacks going into bad situations. With Jason Smith, Alex Barron and Rodger Saffold currently on the roster I sort of get the feeling the Rams know what their doing though. Guys like Roethlisburger, Flacco and Matt Ryan were drafted to good teams and were protected and not asked to do a great deal or put their teams on their backs. For players like David Carr, Troy Aikman and even Payton Manning it was tough for them during their rookie seasons because of their surroundings and many say David Carr was never the same after his rookie season when he took a record number of sacks. I do like the Rams Oline though and hope they can protect him better than the way Carr was protected in Houston or any number of rookie qb’s ruined by their situation. With so much money invested in Bradford and knowing his shoulder injury from last season i’m sure the Rams will do whats wise by him.
