Did you hear that sound? That was the sound of the bubbles bursting for some mid-major teams whos hopes of getting an at-large bid to the big dance just took a major blow. Saturday started off with a shocker as Georgetown got handled easily at home by Notre Dame who was without Luke Harangody for the 4th straight game. Georgetown has now lost 3 of their last 4 games, and still have to travel to West Virginia this week. The Hoyas need to get back to their mid-season form if they have hopes of going anywhere in the big dance. Another shocker followed this game as Tennessee impressively held off Kentucky’s late game comeback. Last but not least, the #1 team in the land Kansas got beat convincingly by Oklahoma State who shot an astounding 60% from the field and 52% from 3 point land for the game. Oklahoma State now has a pretty good resume to receive an at large bid, and Notre Dame now with 2 big upsets in the last week has definitely cemented their spot in the tourney. With a new #1 team coming this week who will ultimately be the team to end up on top when all is said and done??
