The hype was matched and then some! Stephen Strasburg did not disappoint, winning in his MLB debut for the Washington Nationals. He set an MLB record with 14 strikeouts over 7 innings. He looked very impressive striking out the side 3 times during the game. Strasburg did give up 2 earned runs on a home run hit by Delwyn Young. He did not look like a rookie as he came out pitching very focused and in command of all his pitches. He left the game after pitching 94 pitches in his debut.
