I’d love to hear some feedback on different ways to go about drafting

Well the calendar has just turned to February but its beginning to feel a lot like March Madness to me. Last week marked an unbelievable week full of upsets in NCAA basketball. Of the top 25 teams, 17 of them lost last week, including 7 out of the top 10. One of the biggest upsets in my mind was Duke going into MSG to play St Johns and getting run off the court. You also have Syracuse in the midst of a 4 game losing streak (the last time they lost 4 games in a row was back in 2006) and will face a tough Uconn team coming off a home loss on Wednesday night. That should be a pretty good indicator of which direction those teams are heading. You have a sizzling Univertsity of Texas rising up to #3 in the country, and you have the one constant still at #1 and that is Ohio State who almost lost to Northwestern on Saturday and have won 4 games in January by 5 points or less. My question is, are there are “dominant” teams this year? It seems to me there is a ton of parody and the title is completely up for grabs. Is this the year we see a mid-major team take home the hardware? Only time will tell

New York? New Jersey? Do you think it depends on how Cleveland ends up doing this postseason? And do you think Stern is secretly hoping that Lebron will come to New York or does he really want him staying in Cleveland.

Can he take the twins on his back and carry them deep into the postseason? Only time will tell

There is an old saying that “It’s hard to beat a team three times in a row” And that rang true on Thursday as Georgetown took it to the Syracuse Orange. Syracuse goes 1 and done in the big east tournament and are now possibly looking at losing their #1 seed in the NCAA tournament. Even more damaging could be the loss of Arinze Onuaku, Syracuse’s big man, as he went out of the game with a knee injury. Chris Wright shined for the Hoyas as he poured in 27 pts, 6 rebounds and 6 assists, and toss in yet another double-double from Greg Monroe who had 15 pts and 10 rebounds. The Hoyas are now poised to make a run deep into the big east tourney as they have a date with Marquette who pulled another upset today taking out 10th ranked Villanova. You gotta love conference tourney time!

With my Uconn huskies pretty much done I am looking forward to watching some great basketball over the next 5 days. Who does everyone have their money on??

Before he heads to New York to join the jets, Antonio Cromartie has one more thing to tend to. Hes got a court date in San Diego to discuss some $25,000 in unpaid child support. The New York Jets for the 2nd time in a few months have signed a player who has more than his fair share of legal issues (see Braylon Edwards). Cromartie has acknowledged that he has 7 kids with 6 different women living in 5 different states. Theres no denying that Cromartie who had a phenominal start to his career has phenominal man to man coverage skills. The Jets only had to give up a 2011 3rd round pick so even if it doesnt work out it’s not as if the Jets had to give up a lot…I think this could be a big time success or a big time failure. Are the Jets turning into the Cincinnati Bengals from a few years ago with a number of guys who have legal issues? Or was this a good gamble??

The Celtics % was .643. That’s a difference of .555. Over the past 15 seasons, this was only the fifth time that a team beat an opponent that had a win percentage at least .550 better than its own at least 50 games into a season. Can the Celtics rebound from this horrible loss and get back on track? Or are they slowing down and headed toward an early exit in the playoffs? Lets hear some thoughts!
